I discussed with my parents about skills that are essential to the workers in the 21 Century and they said that transportation is very important like buses taxis cars, since some times people don't make enough to live in the city so they have to live a little bit farther than the city where they live, in order to reach their jobs they need to take buses. Also all communication devices are important such as mobiles, phones, email. When you have a mobile and you have an appointment with somebody and you can't make it there you just reach them anywhere they are to cancel. And for many other reasons.
